Delete your Basera account

This page explains how to request deletion of your Basera account and the data associated with it. You can do this in the Basera app, or from this page if you have uninstalled the app.

Request deletion in the app

1. Open the Basera app and sign in with the phone number on your account.
2. Go to the Profile tab.
3. Tap Delete Account (you can also find this under Privacy & Security).
4. Confirm by typing DELETE. This starts a 30-day grace period before permanent removal.

Request deletion by email

If you no longer have the app, email us from a contact we can match to your account:

Include the phone number used to create your Basera account so we can verify it is yours. After we confirm ownership, we start the same 30-day deletion process used in the app.

What is deleted

After the 30-day grace period ends, we permanently remove:

• Your profile and personal identifiers (including name and phone number)
• Your listings/posts and listing photos
• Your profile photo and other non-chat media
• Device push-notification tokens

What is kept

• Messages you sent may remain visible to the other person in that conversation, shown as sent by Deleted User.
• We retain an anonymous account record for technical integrity (so the account cannot be reconstructed as you).

Retention period

• When you request deletion, a 30-day cancelable grace period begins immediately.
• During those 30 days, your listings are hidden from search and push notifications stop.
• You can cancel by signing back into Basera and tapping Cancel Deletion, or by emailing privacy@basera.tech before the 30 days end.
• If you do not cancel, deletion is completed after 30 days.
